Built in Holland in 1915, Elsie May originally carried potatoes along Dutch waterways before conversion into a houseboat. Acquired by her current owner in December 2012, she has since undergone a comprehensive refit and redesign. Works included full closed-cell foam insulation of the hull interior, a raised roof, an extended wheelhouse converted to an office, new fresh-water and waste systems, a Kabola heating installation and a Victron inverter with leisure battery bank, together with bespoke double-glazed timber windows.
